Is this place closed permanently? Came on a Saturday night and seemed like it was closed even though Yelp and Google Maps said it's open 🤔

Not unless they're only doing delivery. I ordered uber eats from them last night around 9pm. But if you look at the reviews not being opened when they're supposed to be according to Yelp, looks like a regular occurrence. My guess is they close when… more

We had a great dinner at Betsu Ten Jin today. We didn't know what to expect in the small, unassuming Ramen shop in Capitol Hill, but when I took a sip of the silky broth, I was hooked. The pork broth was perfectly balanced with tender pork, seaweed, green onions, and paired with toppings such as chili oil, ginger, and fried garlic chips.

Service was friendly, efficient, and quick.

We even had a lovely conversation with the owner who told us the long process it takes to make the broth on a daily process.

      We will definitely be back.

Betsu Ten Jin, your broth is 10/10 in all of its milky pork bone broth glory.
From the moment you walk in from outside, you feel as if you've stepped into a ramen house in Japan.
The menu is simple with a list of house special. I went with the traditional Hakkata style ramen with the perfectly cooked melt in your mouth cha-siu pork. Added a soft boiled egg (which was marinated and cooked to perfection.) It is not pictured because it was devoured.
The broth is silky, milky, and everything you would want in a ramen broth period. Not too salty, as Goldilocks would have said, "Just right." There is a tray of garlic crisps, fresh ginger, grated garlic, soy, spices, and chili oil to elevate your ramen to your preference and raise it up to its highest potential.
The noodles are thinly sliced, fresh, and cooked al dente with the perfect chewy texture.
Don't even think about it. It's a MUST GO!

If you're looking for a broth that's packed with flavor, creamy, and doesn't feel too heavy, this is a great place to come and try!

My husband and I decided to try this spot on a Friday night around 6pm. It wasn't too busy when we arrived and we easily got seating at their counter. (They also have some tables as well). It has a casual ramen shop atmosphere.

The menu itself is pretty limited but we were fine with our options. They are known for their Hakata Style Pork bone broth and they advertise that they don't add MSG or use milk and that it's purely made from the pork bones.

I got their Hakata-style ramen set with the lobster salad and it was delicious! Lobster salad was really tasty and unique and I enjoyed the nori they gave with it. The ramen noodles were perfectly cooked, flavor of the broth was tasty and this was one of the only times where I've finished the entire ramen bowl, broth and all!

My husband got their Prawn Miso ramen set with lobster salad and he really enjoyed his meal as well.

Overall, I will definitely be coming back when the ramen craving hits! It's my favorite spot for haktata-style ramen!

The Ramen soup is just so fantastic here! The menu isn't exactly vast but what you got to pick from doesn't disappoint in the slightest! The ingredients are super fresh and the flavor of the soup is completely infectious. Perfect to come in on a cold, rainy day but be warned there could be a line. We squeezed in and while no wait developed after we left it is very prone to getting that way.
In addition to the soup we had some fantastic gyoza to serve as an appetizer.
Definitely worth going to and something you won't want to miss out on if you want some excellent and authentic Ramen soup!

Wonderful Gyoza that we started off with for an appetizer
Great, flavorful Ramen soup. Very authentic and warming to have on a cold, rainy day.

This was a great meal to end our night after going to the bars and clubs. Menu was limited, but I didn't mind it. The service was good. We received our meal at a good time. We didn't have to wait too long to get seated or served. It's a nice restaurant to bring a date for ramen. The food hit the spot and we finished everything! Price was also decent. We would return here again because we didn't even wake up with a hangover!

This ramen places reminds me the most of ramen actually in Japan. It feels a little bit like ichiran where you have little isolated cubicles that sit 2 people or tables of four. The ramen itself is creamy without dairy and I love how they have condiments you can put in your ramen for free.

We always come up to Seattle to eat; everywhere we have tried is delicious! We were hankering for ramen so decided to try this new ramen joint, headed out at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Luckily no wait as we got there at 8, ordered the Hakata Style Ramen Set mine with Lobster Salad and my partner D ordered the same ramen set but with gyoza. Everything was fresh and delicious, esp the Hakata pork bone broth was really tasty and flavorful. No complains about the noodles either what surprised me away was the lobster salad - it did have chunks of lobster meat. Everything also was better wrapped in nori . May come back here but there are just too many other ramen places to try!

Yum!! Tried the prawn tonkotsu broth ramen set with gyoza.

Service was friendly and the vibe was casual and very Japanese. The soup was packed with umami and the noodles were perfectly cooked. I'm not even big on tonkotsu ramen, but it was not too heavy and the flavor was right!

Definitely would recommend especially to satisfy a late night craving!

Was very yummy! I tried the prawn miso ramen and it was the perfect dish for this rainy weather! Would come again.

There are only two ramens on the menu, either the prawn miso and hakata style ramen. The service was relatively fast. The restaurant is on the smaller side. There is a bar and a few tables. Dark/dim lighting in the restaurant. Came on a Monday at 5:30 and there was no one there as they just opened, but they didn't seat us until 5:40 as they were still opening/setting up.

This used to be my favorite spot for ramen in Seattle but the quality is definitely not where it used to be. My go to here used to be the hakata ramen because the broth was super rich and milky. When I came back here the other night, while the taste was still somewhat there, the broth was much more watered down and bland compared to before. However, I still appreciate the decor inside. The service could have been better; I ordered a set with gyoza however the gyoza never came out.
