Hi , my google search indicates that there are tulips in bloom at the BOTANICAL GARDEN? Is it so, then I would like to visit with family specifically to see tulips. We have already visited this beautiful garden in past multiple times& enjoyed it.
A:
I don't think there are any tulips in this garden. I could be wrong, but I don't think I've ever seen them here. This is more of a cactus and succulent/Arizona native species spot. I have been a member for almost 20 years and a botanical garden… more

I highly recommend stopping in here.
To see the desert foliage and all the different types is really awesome
It's out so well and they really take time and dedication to keep it nice
And the restaurant on site is absolutely amazingHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 22, 2024
I was impressed. It's laid out very well and has an impressive amount of plants. It's end of April and this time of year there are many hummingbirds around which added to the pleasant atmosphere.
There are free docent tours. I went on one and learned quite a bit. The docents are friendly and knowledgeable.
There is a butterfly exhibit there with live butterflies flittering around. The exhibit is small but worth seeing I think.
I took Lyft there which turned out to be a good idea. The parking lot was packed.
I was there three hours and didn't see everything. I plan on going back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 106227312Apr 2, 2024
Very overpriced and mediocre experience, yet a must visit for those visiting Phoenix, because what else is there to do? The entry price to the gardens are definitely on the steeper side given the size and arguably bland scenery (seeing so many cactus can only be so intriguing).
I recommend going near sunset to not only avoid the heat but also to see a nice sunset from the park. There are also lights at night that illuminate the garden.
Coming from someone who's visited other botanical gardens that offer more color and arguably more variety (in shapes and size), this garden seems only garner the interest of those who are not from the southern/southwestern USA. If you drive an hour or two outside Phoenix, many of plants can be seen driving on the highways.
If you're from anywhere else other than southwestern USA, this place is worth the visit to see the unique plants. Otherwise, you're better off saving your money for other activities.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 5, 2024
Huge park, definitely worth a money. This park is a must-visit for a Phoenix trip. You'll see lots of cool arizona plants and wildlife, in a nice clean and well-maintained park. There is a lot to see, whether you are here for an hour or three hours.
Seriously cool botanical garden.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 2, 20241 check-in
It was good to go to once. The paths are really nice and smooth. They have information throughout that you can read and learn about plants. It opens early (6am), but you need to buy tickets before going. I thought the price was high ($25) and I expected more. We made it through everything in about an hour. Parking was easy.

We live in Florida and have often heard about Desert Botanical Gardens from other people that live and visit the area. While we were visiting Phoenix we had to stop here.
My wife and I were in awe the whole time we were there. This place I so amazing. Love how they have so many varieties of desert plants to look at.
This is definitely a must see! We walked the entire garden and spent about 4 hours there.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Feb 26, 2024
From an east coast baby, the botanical garden is such a great place to go to see a lot of beautiful scenery - plants and greenery included.
My group of about 8 all purchased separate tickets (why don't they have a group rate?) , all in one place and drove to the garden about 2 hours later.
All in all, this place is great during a great weather day. I will also say, it's a very tourist-y place to go lol, so in about 30-45 minutes (depending on if it's in the warmer months, when more butterflies are present) - you are your group will more than likely be ready to go.
It's worth a visit if you're in the area and traveling near.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 18, 2024
Went back recently and quite a bit of blooms to see right now! The butterfly exhibit is a bit small but really a nice addition. The gardens are lovely to stroll around. Every staff member I've meet has been wonderful. Definitely a must visit for visitors but also a nice way to spend some time even for locals. I have an annual pass now to enjoy.

Downsides are cost and the fact that it gets a bit repetitive after half and hour. Positives are everything else. There's some amazing collections here and tons of activities and extras.
It's worth a look. The walking trail can be very relaxing.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 14, 2024
Such a beautiful and well thought out garden!! I went here solo and spent about 2 hours walking around. I had no idea there was a butterfly area so that was a nice surprise. All of the staff is very friendly and made me feel welcome! The paths are easy to navigate and it's nice they have small shady areas along the paths so you can take a break from the sun. I was impressed they have so many water stations too. I'd love to come back next time I visit Arizona!
