Winery 101

Soon to be Turquoise Wine Cellar. The current owners are taking a much earned retirement. New owners are a woman owned family company from Glendale with full knowledge of wine from around the world, fantastic food service and set a friendly atmosphere.

Love the wine and staff!! Moved away from AZ but they will ship their wine so I'm still a happy customer!

Went on a Sunday afternoon. It was ok., we would personally not return. We ordered 2 flights, total of 8 tastings. We were only given 2 glasses at a time, and there were 3 of us. We didn't realize h til after we left, but the same glasses kept getting filled with new tastings... I would think we would want a new clean glass to get a better taste of the wine. The charcuterie board was ok. We sat in "the little living room" area that was cozy.

great arizona wines

Made a quick stop here and split a flight of three summer wines for $10. The place is nice and the air conditioning was working great. Sat at a table and had quick service. Didn't buy anything, but the wines were good enough.

Great atmosphere and service . Tommy was conscientious and attentive. Such a great server!! The Port was monumental.

The only food is an overpriced unimaginative charcuterie board complete with fig newtons. The wine is weak....if I said mediocre it would be a generous assessment. I would not recommend anyone waste their money here.

Took a friend visiting from Texas, we had a blast! Thank you to Taylor who was not only a fantastic server but she took the time to explain wine and we were able to learn a bit. As we tried the flights I was able to quickly discover what I enjoy and was able to take a few bottles of our favorites home with us! (We ended up with a glass and free flight) I look forward to returning!

Thank you Taylor for another amazing tasting! The Malbec 2019 is fantastic! Took home several new bottles and signed up for a membership! Poolside is still my favorite with Rhône Ranger a close 2nd! Took those as I await my quarterly special! Thank you for helping us hone in on favorites!

So disappointed with how this place has changed over the last few months. I found this spot about a year ago and fell in love... as a lover of wine and usually having to travel to California or even northern arizona to get good wine I was so excited when I found winery 101. The wine was OK but it was really the service that hooked me. I would go in bring my computer to get some work done and do a wine flight or two to get a taste of what new wines they had going on. The bartender Taylor was honestly the main reason I kept going back because of her level of knowledge of wine and service but I came to find out the hard way that she is no longer with the company.

Ive gone back twice since she left and both experiences were HORRIBLE. The bartender Lea (not sure on spelling) was nothing but RUDE. I am a very easy going, well tipping patron and she treated me like garbage. I joined the wine club last year and after my most recent and definitely my last visit I cancelled my membership solely on how rude she was to me. I've never felt so belittled by a bartender who I have been nothing but nice to. Every question I asked her the answer was NO with no explanation. She literally FOUGHT with me on questions I had on my membership I couldn't believe someone could talk to a guest like that.

I could go on but I will leave it at that. Such a disappointment from a place I was so excited to have nearby with a good atmosphere that I have recommended to SEVERAL friends and clients to a place I will never step into again. :(
